Sillimanian Makes it to National Piano Championship

A graduate from the College of Performing and Visual Arts (COPVA) advances to the championship round of the 2015 piano competition of the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) set November 24 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Mr. Ricardo C. Abapo Jr., who finished his undergraduate degree in Music major in Piano in 2013, will be competing with four other finalists in the championship round for Category C in piano. He is the only one from outside Manila.

NAMCYA is a national program that seeks to discover and develop young Filipino musicians through competitions and a series of workshops and training.

Mr. Abapo is currently with Silliman University, working part-time at COPVA for its extension program.
