Education, MassCom Grads Named Outstanding Students of Central Visayas

Two top members of Batch 2016 were among the recipients of the Ten Outstanding Students of Central Visayas Award, given May 21 at the Rizal Memorial Library and Museum in Cebu City.

Amyrrha Estolloso (BS Secondary Education major in English) and Michiko Je Bito-on (Bachelor of Mass Communication) now vie for 30 slots for the national search of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP), together with other regional winners from around the country.

Both Amyrrha and Michiko were active student leaders who consistently excelled in academics, graduating magna cum laude last March. They received University Honors and had their respective share in co-curricular awards: Amyrrha was Most Outstanding Student of the Year, while Michiko was the Senior Student of the Year.

Awarding of the TOSP will be done at the Malacañang Palace in July.

Established on June 19, 1961, TOSP is the country’s premier awards recognition program for top student leaders who exemplify excellence in academics, leadership and social responsibility.
