Valentine Songwriting Competition

ImageJames Kenrick Milan sings his fellow student’s winning composition titled “Make Believe” during the 2011 Valentine Songwriting Competition (VSC) on February 12 at the Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium. The winning composer, Kevin Oliver Diana, a Political Science major, was awarded by Star Records' Mr. Jonathan Manalo, one of the judges, along with Freeman Entertainment Editor Ms. Nathalie Tomada. Second placer was Business student John Kenneth Torres for the song “Enchanted”, and third place went to Music Education major Bennet James Menguito for his piece, “Time Machine.” The VSC is a joint project of the College of Performing Arts, Sigma Mu Lambda organization and the Silliman University Student Government, in celebration of the National Arts Month.
