Alumnus Bags World Singing Championship 

A graduate of the College of Performing and Visual Arts was adjudged champion in the WCOPA World Championship of Performing Arts held June 30 to July 9, 2017 in Long Beach, California. 

Cristiani Rebada (Bachelor of Music, major in Voice, 2015) clinched the top spot of Senior World Champion Solo Vocalist. His accomplishment went viral, with Philippine media picking it up and highlighting the pride he has brought to Filipinos around the globe. 

WCOPA is said to be the “Olympics of performing arts”. It brings together aspiring artists and talents from around the world into a competition for different categories. 

When Cristiani was a student in Silliman, he was active in the Campus Choristers and Men’s Glee Club. He also played main roles in productions, including the favorite American musical Into the Woods
