Architecture Major Places 2nd in HCG Young Designers’ Competition

A fourth year Architecture major placed second in the 2018 ArchiNEXT: HCG Young Designers’ Competition.

Deborah Ruth Espiritu was among 569 students from all over the country who submitted their designs based on the competition’s theme “Sibol: A Community-Based Recovery Home for Drug Dependents.”

She received her award during the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Construction Expo (CONEX) 2018 held April 13 in Manila.

Now on its 4th year, ArchiNEXT is part of HoCheng Philippines Corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program. It is done annually in partnership with the UAP and the Council of Deans and Heads of Architecture Schools in the Philippines.

The program encourages architecture students to produce designs for a sustainable community.
