Rolando Villanueva Del Carmen Academic Excellence Scholarship

Belonging to the top 4 of the graduating class (grade 10 students) with a general average of at least 93% and no grade below 85% in any subject. Covers Full School Fees, board and lodging in a cooperative dorm and a small allowance as may determined by Student Aid Committee

Scholarships for College Students (SY 2016-2017)


Aid to Minister's Children

For children of UCCP pastors who are currently assigned to a local church. Incoming first year college students must have a High School General Average of 85% and higher and a 2.5 TQPA or higher for continuing students. 

Benefit: P10,000/semester

Board and Lodging Scholarship

  • Entrance Board and Lodging Scholarship for Valedictorians with a general average of at least 93% upon graduation in high school belonging to a class of at least 25 graduates.
  • Continuing Board and Lodging Scholarship for continuing students in college with a term QPA of 3.75 or higher in the (previous semester) who is enrolled in any of the undergraduate degree programs under STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). 

Daniel Fissell Music Scholarship
For a junior Theology student majoring in Liturgy and Music with a Cumulative Quality Point Average (CQPA) of 3.0 or higher. Covers Full School Fees 

Dr. Hubert Reynolds Endowment Scholarship Fund
For junior students of the Social Work program. Covers Partial Tuition Fee 

Dr. Rainer and Marie-Paule Neu Scholarship
For promising incoming freshman and continuing students from a rural community and/or Ethnic group enrolled in a course leading to a bachelor's degree.

Elsie Nichols-Aguilar Scholarship
For students in Speech & Theatre Arts. Covers Tuition Fee 

Freddie V. Aquino & Family Scholarship
For incoming sophomore student in the College of Business Administration who is from the Province of Negros Oriental. Preferably an orphan.

Benefit: P 15,000.00/semester 

Henrietta Doltz Puhaty Nursing Scholarship
For academically deserving and financially needy students in the College of Nursing. Must have an unquestionable moral integrity, conduct and behavior. Covers Full School Fees 

Henry S. Langheim Memorial Scholarship
For dependents of SUMCFI employees. Incoming first year college students must have a High School General Average of 85% or higher and a 2.0 TQPA or higher for continuing student. Benefit: Graduated system of educational assistance. 

Howard and Dorothy Wickler Scholarship Fund

  • Incoming regular sophomore student taking up Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education
  • A cumulative quality point average of 3.0 with no grade below 2.0.
  • Joint annual income of parents preferably must not exceed Php 350,000.00.
  • Of good moral character and must not have any disciplinary record.
  • Must be active in his/her local church and is likely to continue this relationship with a church here in Dumaguete City.
  • Must not be recipient of other scholarship grant/s.
  • Must be willing to render 80 volunteer work hours per semester in university offices.

Application Requirements

  • Accomplished application form. (available at the SSAD Office)
  • Essay about yourself, goals in life and why you need this special scholarship.
  • Certified CQPA of 3.0 or better from the college.
  • Latest income tax return or Certification as non-filer from the local BIR of both parents.
  • Endorsement from the College Dean.

International Christian Scholarship Foundation (ICSF)
For incoming first year Medical school students with a QPA of at least 3.0 in the baccalaureate degree and with National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) percentile of 60 & above; preferably with Latin Honor.  Covers Tuition Fee

Jose Baccay Scholarship
For incoming first year college student from Bicol Region. Covers Full School Fees 

Jose/Josefa Demeterio Scholarship Fund
For continuing junior students majoring in Chemistry or Pre-Medical course with a CQPA of at least 3.0.  Covers Tuition Fee 

Josefa del Carmen for CBA Scholarship
For senior Business students who are expected to graduate on March 2017 who belongs to the top 10% of his/her graduating class and with a Cumulative Quality Point Average (CQPA) of at least 3.0. Benefit: P25,000/semester 

Jesus and Maria Cynthia Tanega Endowed Scholarship
For senior BS Chemistry students who are into thesis writing with a CQPA of at least 3.0.  Benefit: P10,000.00

Juan and Estrella Aguilar Saturnino Scholarship
For a deserving graduate of Negros Occidental High School Bacolod City. Covers Tuition Fee 

Leopoldo T. Ruiz Scholarship
For incoming first year students in Sociology, Anthropology and Education major in Mathematics or English with high academic performance.

Covers Full School Fees 

Lu Siok Guan Scholarship
For incoming junior BS Electrical Engineering student with a CQPA of 2.5 and family annual income must not exceed P 150,000.00.

Benefit: P 30,000.00/semester 

Natividad Taleon Griño Scholarship
For deserving and financially challenged students in the College of Nursing, Students must be in their 3rd or 4th year level, with a CQPA of 3.0 and must have an unquestionable moral integrity, conduct and behavior. Covers Partial Tuition Fee.

Panday Tinig Scholarship
For junior and senior students in the College of Performing and Visual Arts majoring in Choral Conducting or Composition with a TQPA of 3.0 or higher. Covers Partial Tuition Fee.

Philchema Scholarship
For incoming regular third year or fourth year students taking up Agriculture major in Animal Science with a CQPA of 2.75 or better, with no failing grade. Covers Full School Fees.

Riley S. Auti Medical Technology Grant 

Qualifications 

  • An incoming sophomore female student of the Institute of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and of Filipino nationality
  • A cumulative quality point average of 3.0 with no grade below 2.0.
  • Joint annual income of parents preferably must not exceed Php 400,000.00.
  • Of good moral character and must not have any disciplinary record.
  • Must not be recipient of other scholarship grant/s.
  • Must be an active member of the Silliman Institute of Clinical Laboratory Sciences Organization.
  • Must be willing to render 80 volunteer work hours per semester in university offices.

 Application Requirements

  • Accomplished application form.
  • Certified CQPA of 3.0 or better from the college.
  • Latest income tax return or Certification as non-filer from the local BIR of both parents.
  • Endorsement from the College Dean.
  • Recommendation letters from two (2) two instructors from the Institute of Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

SUCN Batch 1989 Scholarship
For continuing junior and senior Nursing students with a CQPA of 2.0 and a cumulative grade of 2.2 in nursing subjects.  Benefit: P 10,000/semester 

SUCN Class 1965
For regular sophomore, junior and senior Nursing students with a CQPA of 3.0 and a term quality point average of 3.0. Benefit: P 20,000.00/semester 

Tenorio-Mendiola Scholarship
For High School Valedictorians from Samar or Negros Oriental. Covers Tuition Fee (freshman year only) 

United Methodist Ministers' Children Scholarship
For incoming first year student taking up Bachelor of Mass Communication student whose parents/s is an ordained minister of United Methodist of the Philippines. Covers Tuition Fee
