SULAW Joins Moot Court Competition on International Humanitarian Law

The College of Law faces off with 16 other law schools in the Philippines in the 2017 National Moot Court Competition on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) conducted October to 6 at two venues in Manila.

Forming the Silliman law debate team this year are Juris Doctor majors Wiem Marie Bonganciso and James Shemron Corro, with Adrian Ruz Vidal as alternate, Jose Cubelo as coach, and visiting law professor Dr. David Padilla as coach.

Considered the largest moot court competition for law students in the Philippines, the annual debate tournament on IHL is being organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Philippine Red Cross, and carried out this year in partnership with the Court of Appeals of the Philippines.
