The Silliman University (SU) Typhoon Odette Initiative is making a call for donations in cash or in-kind (i.e. drinking water, canned goods, rice, hygiene products) to help communities affected by Typhoon Odette.

The focus of relief efforts will be on areas most adversely affected by the typhoon, like the towns of Manjuyod, Bindoy, and others north of Negros Oriental.

We welcome any amount you can spare and contribute to the fund, which will be used for relief operations, psychosocial processing (PSP) and intervention to affected communities, and rebuilding efforts.

The SU Typhoon Odette Initiative is a collective effort of the SU Administration through its Continuing Calamity Response Program, together with the SU Church, the SU Student Government, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends.

Typhoon Odette hit areas in Visayas and Mindanao since it entered the Philippine area of responsibility last December 15-17, 2021. Negros Oriental, the home of SU, is one of the provinces severely affected by the typhoon.
