The PSQ is an annual nationwide competition that assesses the statistical knowledge and skills of first-year college and university students across the country's 18 regions.
It is jointly organized by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. (PSAI).
The competition aims to assess students' competency in statistics acquired through secondary education, promote awareness and appreciation of statistics, and highlight its importance in development planning and evidence-based decision-making.
Through the PSQ, organizers also seek to identify and develop statistical talent while promoting greater public understanding of the role of statistics in national development.
