SU to host National Volunteer Month launch

Silliman University (SU) partnered with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) in launching National Volunteer Month 2021 on December 1, 2021.

National Volunteer Month is celebrated every December “to promote volunteerism as a tool for development in both government and private sectors, heighten the ‘Bayanihan’ spirit and instill the value of service to others,” according to the Presidential Proclamation No. 55, s. 1998.

This year’s keynote speaker is National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Assistant Secretary Greg Pineda. At the same time, SU President Dr. Betty Cernol McCann will welcome the guests and participants.

The launch will be live on Zoom at 9:00 AM and simultaneously broadcast on the SU Student Government Facebook Page and the PNVSCA Official Facebook Page.
