As we brace for typhoon Ruby, we pray as one nation for the Lord to sustain us and keep us warm in his embrace. 

The storm challenges us as a nation to reflect more on life and place higher value on the people around us. Let us all draw inspiration from how we now are tested to radiate from within us that genuine care that we have not only for our families, but also for our friends, neighbors and those in areas where the storm will hit.

This is the time when even as we have defined to the world what resilience means, we maintain focus and a clear mind in taking the necessary precautions to keep us all safe. 

Let our faith prevail over our fears for, indeed, in Him, nothing is impossible.
