16 Named YMCA Outstanding Students

Sixteen of this year's graduating students are among the recipients of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) Outstanding Awards.

They are: Mikle Vito Abing (Political Science), Evince Earl Columnas (Accountancy), Mark Roy Diez (Information Technology), Kimberlyn Faith Favor (Political Science), Sanfred Germudo Jr. (Accountancy), Zevie Marquez (Management), Jeff Nicolo Palad (Medical Technology), Mae Ann Piñero (Economics), Diane Dhale Saycon (Nursing), Lorraine Allie Solitario (Computer Science), Hanz Denzil Villahermosa (Education), Diva Putri Wulandari (Nursing), Jude Martin Amiscaray (High School), Jana Jae Gumalo (High School), Francis Roy Albina (Elementary) and Marc Kyle Maxino (Elementary).

Each was formally recognized during the 25th Outstanding Student Awards Program of YMCA Negros Oriental Chapter held March 13 at the Dumaguete Cathedral Credit Cooperative Function Hall.

The awardees were endorsed by the University for confirmation by the YMCA following a careful selection based on involvement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, talent, inter-personal skills, and academic honors. 

YMCA is an international organization aimed at practicing Christian principles by developing a “healthy body, mind and spirit” among the youth.
