Silliman Hosts 58 Korean Students from Hannam University

Fifty-eight students from Hannam University are in Silliman University under two separate exchange programs running January 11 to February 6.

There are 17 business and information systems majors from Hannam’s Linton School of Global Business (LSGB) who are on campus to learn more about Philippine business and culture and the prospects of social and economic integration between two countries in the region. They are handled by the College of Business Administration.

Another 41 who come from different disciplines (Education, Library Science, Clothing and Textile, Chemistry and Mathematics) are enrolled in the Intensive English Program (INTEP) of the University. The INTEP program, handled by the Language Center, hosts annually foreign student groups from universities in Japan and Korea.

Together with the students from Hannam are their respective professors: Prof. Kwang Yil Park of LSGB and Prof. Namsoon Kim for the INTEP group.

Hannam is one of the partner universities of Silliman University. Two Silliman students are currently on a one-year student exchange scholarship at Hannam located in Daejeon, Korea.
