The Proposed Dormitory for Honor Students

The Proposed Dormitory for Honor Students

Issue Date: 16 September 2016

The dormitory previously announced as a facility for Honor Students is for those who are high academic achievers in rural and poor communities in the country who, without help for board and lodging, would be otherwise unable to study in Silliman.  This, as approved by the Board of Trustees on September 20, 2014.  They may continue to stay in this dormitory for as long as they are financially unable to afford any other accommodations, and they maintain a high Grade Point Average while already in Silliman.  This is the same assistance practiced before in Silliman for COCOFED Scholars.  Honor students in Silliman stay in many places inside and outside the Campus, but this dormitory is for the very poor but academically high performing students, who we wish to give opportunity to study in Silliman.
