A third grader at the Elementary Department of the School of Basic Education bagged a bronze medal at the 8th Asia Cup Stars of the Olympic Math Finals held July 26 in Hong Kong.

Jose Marco Antonio contributed to the 57 medals that the Philippine delegation won in the five-country math tournament, after finishing third in the final round for his category.

Two of his fellow third graders from Silliman received an Excellent Prize in the same category: his twin brother Jose Miguel Antonio and Francis Roy Albina.
