SULAW Bags Best Speaker, Best Rebuttal Awards
The team of the College of Law clinched two awards during the 2013 Grand Law Debate against San Beda College held February 24 at the Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium.
This year's proposition: “Resolved that the Divorce Bill HB 1799 be Enacted into Law”.
Freshman Gilbert Agustin J. Ganir was adjudged Best Speaker and junior Micah Stefan Dagaerag, Best Rebuttal Speaker.
San Beda's Lowell Frederick A. Madrileno was Best Debater.
Three distinguished legal personalities composed the panel of judges: Court of Appeals Associate Justice for Cebu Hon. Carmelita S. Manahan (chairperson), Judge Senon Voltaire B. Repollo and Atty. Saleto J. Erames.
The annual Grand Law Debate is a project of the Silliman University College of Law Oratorical and Debating Club.
