Alumni Update January 13 – 19, 2020

An Open Invitation to tapUK-Euroflock 2020

The Silliman University Alumni Association – United Kingdom (SUAA-UK) invites alumni around the world to plan ahead their European vacation and include tapUK – Euroflock 2020, to be held in Newcastle, England, September 11 – 14, 2020. This biennial gathering of Silliman alumni from within the whole continent of Europe is not only limited to those residing in Europe, but is open to all alumni around the world.

Euroflock 2020 host, SUAA-UK, headed by alumni chapter president, Erlinda de la Torre Carballo promises a 4-day alumni gathering highlighting an English experience of unrivalled beauty packed with culture, history and heritage. Carballo shares, “That United Kingdom, Europe and the rest of the world have been plagued with problems of disunity and disintegration of the complex relations that encompass the member countries of the European Union and the world. This threatening divisiveness among the members has become the impetus for tapUk-Euroflock 2020 theme, ‘Strength and Success through Togetherness’.”

The alumni gathering includes a river cruise, a “Coal to Culture” tour of Newcastle, Alnwick Castle and Coastline tour, and the Grainger Market for shopaholics and foodies, among others. The Gala Dinner will be held at the historic Wallsend Memorial Hall People’s Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which will highlight the 4-day alumni gathering.

Registration is now open for tapUK-Euroflock 2020. You may send an email request to [email protected] so the registration form will be sent to you. For tapUK-Euroflock 2020 updates, please visit their Facebook through this link.
