Mass Com Alumnus’ Project Receives TAYO Award

Mass Communication alumnus (Batch 2016) Mac Edsel Florendo’s Food Rescue ASEAN – an innovative solution to address food wastage in Dumaguete City and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – is among the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) of the 14th TAYO Awards.

For its proponents’ selfless act of heroism, volunteerism, and creativity that promotes meaningful change, Food Rescue ASEAN, together with nine others, received the recognition out of the 443 entries across the country.

TAYO Awards, now on its 14th year, is presented by Coca-Cola and organized by the National Youth Commission, Office of Senator Bam Aquino, Office of Senator Francis Pangilinan, and the TAYO Foundation.
