Ms. Joyce Mae M. Pino
She may not be very visible around the University, but part of her job is ensuring that everything is accounted for, every detail is checked and confirmed, everyone is accountable for everything.
Ms. Joyce Mae M. Pino works in the University’s Internal Audit Office. “Initially, I planned to work in Manila, but my parents requested for me to work in Dumaguete,” she said.
Pino, a native Dumagueteña, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Silliman in 2016, and is now a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She has been serving Silliman for 2 months now, being one of the University’s youngest staff.
“…the job of an internal auditor is a challenge in itself. To help me with this, I ask my colleagues in the office for tips. Prayers also help me in dealing with [the difficulties].”

What is your motto in life?
Try and try until you succeed.
What makes you laugh?
Jokes, funny movies or series, or any funny situation or circumstance
What makes you sad?
Pain, sad movies or series, or any sad situation or circumstance
What’s your favorite time of the day and why?
Evenings, because of the comfort of being at home.
What’s your favorite day of the week and why?
Saturday since it’s the only day I’m not really busy.
What do you love doing when not working?
Watching Korean series or just lying down on my bed.
What is your favorite hangout place in the University?
When I was still studying, my friends and I would usually hangout at the Library even when we’re not studying. But now that I’m working, I just hangout in our office.
What makes you blush?
Compliments.
If you were an actor, who would you be?
Kathryn Bernardo.

I am a proud Pastor’s kid, and I am particular when it comes to arranging things.
What’s your favorite game growing up?
I don’t actually have a favorite one but I like all games which are fun to play.
What is your idea of a relaxing day?
A relaxing day is when I’m just lying down in bed or going on an out-of-town trip.

A family is where each member loves and supports each other.
