SU distributes more shields for pedicab drivers

Silliman University (SU), through its Technology Business Incubator (TBI), distributed the second batch of free plastic shields or “pedi-shields” for motorized tricycles or pedicabs in Dumaguete City, June 17-18, 2020 in front of the SU Junior High School gate.

SU TBI staff continue to lead the production, distribution, and installation of the additional 103 pedi-shields as a COVID-19 protective measure for drivers and passengers.

Prof. Janice Antoniette V. Forster, SU TBI manager, said they produced more shields after receiving positive feedback from their first distribution. Forster said they decided to use their budget for another project to make additional shields.

The first batch of shields was distributed last June 4-5.
