Education Major Plays in World Lacrosse Championship
Education junior Don Japheth Teves joined the Philippine Lacrosse Association (PLA) Team in the 2014 World Lacrosse Championship held July 10 to 19 in Denver, Colorado, USA.
Don was among those who first experienced this new sport in the University during the lacrosse sports clinic sponsored by the PLA last year. Upon review of the videos taken during that event, PLA officials discovered Don’s unique skill and handle of the game. His performance impressed the PLA that they invited him to join the team in the world championship.
The World Lacrosse Championship is an annual tournament sponsored by the Federation of International Lacrosse. A record of 38 nations participated this year, with 142 games over ten days.
