The exposure program of Chaminade in Silliman is already on its second year. It is administered by the Institute of Service-Learning and the College of Nursing, and has been tailored-fit to optimize exposure to local approaches to healthcare, alternative medicine and community service.

A growing number of academic institutions in Asia and the United States send their students to Silliman every year for service-learning. Chaminade is one of its newer partners.

Silliman is one of the few universities in the Philippines that have successfully institutionalized service-learning across its disciplines. It is also a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education as designated by the Commission on Higher Education.
