Dr. Tan Attends ACUCA ExeCom Meeting in Bandung

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Betsy Joy Tan represented the Philippines in the Executive Committee (ExeCom) meeting of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia held April 18 at the Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung, Indonesia. 

This year’s ACUCA ExeCom meeting tackled the student mobility scheme among member-universities and other common issues that factor in the move for regional integration. 

Dr. Tan, whose leadership of the academic divsion oversaw the institutionalization of service-learning and the adoption of the concept of whole person education in Silliman, sat in the ExeCom meeting on behalf of Silliman President Dr. Ben S. Malayang III.

Dr. Malayang is one of eight university presidents that comprise the ACUCA ExeCom. Together with him are university presidents from Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India. The president of the Parahyangan Catholic University currently chairs the ExeCom.
