2 SU ICLS topnotchers receive their checks

Two (2) Silliman University (SU) topnotchers during the March 2025 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination (MTLE) from Silliman University formally received their checks from Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, SU president, on May 8, 2025, at the President’s Office.

Ian Jay Balag Francisco clinched the 6th spot, while Kyle Angelo Gonzalez Tapia, the 8th spot. They are two of the 158 successful MTLE takers from SU.

Together with McCann were Dr. Mae Brigitt Bernadel L. Villordon, interim assistant vice president for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) and concurrent College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) dean, and Dr. Teodora A. Cubelo, ICLS dean.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 6,147 out of 7,659 passed the March 2025 MTLE with a National Passing Rate of 80.26%.

Meanwhile, SU garnered an overall passing rate of 89.27%.
