Library Donates Children’s Books to 4 Public Elementary Schools

The Robert B. and Metta J. Silliman Library, together with the Philippines mission team of the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor, Michigan in the United States, donated books to four public elementary schools in Dumaguete City this week.

Led by University Librarian Asst. Prof. Lorna Tumulak Yso, the Library donated a total of 647 children’s books to each school. They donated books to the Cadawinonan Elementary School and Junob Elementary School last July 5 and to the City Central Elementary School and Batinguel Elementary School on July 8.

Under a partnership with the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor in Michigan, the Library has been donating books to public elementary schools in Dumaguete City since 2009. The four schools this school year are new recipients.
