Grade 5 Pupil Off to China for Math Tournament

A Grade 5 pupil at the Elementary Department of the School of Basic Education is representing the Philippines in a math tournament on August 10 to 15 in Beijing, China. 

Micah N. Edem, an honor student and a member of the campus-based organization, Math Wizards, is one of the members of the Philippine delegation to the 2011 China Primary School Math Olympiad. She joins other students receiving training under the Mathematics Trainers' Guild, Philippines.

The SBE has had pupils participate in this math tournament for the past three years.
