A Thorn-Sharp Delicate ROSE

She is an outspoken disciplinarian. She may look strict and “mataray”, but her personality says otherwise. One can never really tell about a person from what he/she merely sees on the outside.  Underneath the stern exterior is a joyful personality – soft-spoken, heart-warming…someone who is easy to get along with.

“There’s nothing really interesting about me,” she humbly says. And then teases, “…but people can come to me and find out for themselves.”  For one thing, she’s a good cook and loves cooking for her family.

Mrs. Rosenda Ramirez-Sayson is the Office Assistant of the Student Organizations and Activities Division (SOAD), one of the four major components of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA). She started as a reliever back in 1992, and officially joined the team the following year (1993) as assistant in the then Silliman University Mobilization for Mission Action office, handling mostly donations from alumni and friends. During the same year, she was given a new assignment at the Student Center.

Ms. Rose enjoys working at OSA, including her previous role at the Student Housing and Residence Division (SHRD). She describes her length of service in the University as “happy 18 years”.
