IMTC Spearheads Sound Engineering Training
Twenty personnel from different departments in Silliman University who are involved in the handling of audio-visual equipment recently underwent three-day on-campus training on “audio engineering”.
The training aimed to update the participants on recent trends and techniques in operating audio-related equipment, and acquaint them with modern audio-visual equipment that the University continues to acquire.
Mr. Mark Anthony Yulo, a Manila-based audio engineer who owns a company that specializes in audio-visual equipment, was the facilitator. He said the key to effective sound control is the right technique in the handling and maintenance of sound equipment.
Organized by the Instructional Media and Technology Center (IMTC) headed by its Director Dr. Rosario M. Baseleres, the training gathered personnel from IMTC and related departments, such as the Luce Auditorium, Buildings and Grounds and Silliman University Church.
