Alumni Chapter in Australia Donates for Marina Clinic

The Silliman University Alumni Association of Sydney, Australia Chapter, Inc. recently turned over a cash donation for the improvement of the operating room at the Marina Mission Clinic.

Chapter president Dr. Alicia B. Dumlao (first from right in the photo) led the group that personally handed the donation to Silliman through Vice President for Development Prof. Jane Annette L. Belarmino and Vice President for Finance and Administration Prof. Cleonico Y. Fontelo.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between Silliman and the alumni chapter on the continuing support for the renovation of the Marina Mission Clinic.

The Marina Mission Clinic is a facility of the University managed by the Extension Program. Since it was established in 1972, it has served the community of the municipality of Dauin and its neighboring towns. Its programs cover healthcare, alternative medicine and livelihood for mothers.
