SUHS ’73 turns-over scholarship donation

Silliman University High School (SUHS) Class of 1973 led by Outstanding Sillimanian Awardee (OSA) Adlai J. Amor, turned-over a check amounting to Php690,000, representing their high school class scholarship donation, to Silliman University President, Dr. Betty Cernol-McCann. The check donation was given during a simple ceremony at the McCloskey Room of the Reliable Source of the National Press Club in Washington D.C. last August 2, 2019.

Amor said, the scholarship fund is SUHS 1973 investment income and will help pay the tuition of students at SU High School.

Present during the turnover were, Dr. Dennis McCann, Silliman University Alumni and External Affairs Director, Ruben N. Bokingo, and U.S. and Canada based SUHS 1973 classmates. SUHS 1973 hopes to inspire other high school classes to also give back to Silliman through scholarships.
