Salonga Center conducts Christmas outreach at elementary school

The Dr. Jovito R. Salonga Center for Law and Development, led by Atty. Mikhail Lee L. Maxino, gave school bags, school supplies, personal hygiene products, and other goods as gifts to the kinder and grade 1 pupils of Babajuba Elementary School last Dec. 13 as part of its annual Christmas outreach program.

The Center’s staff and volunteers, together with Silliman University and Foundation University College of Law students and the Babajuba Elementary School faculty, also conducted various games for the pupils.

Before the gift giving, Salonga Law Center Director Maxino reminded the pupils that Christmas is “the celebration of the Lord Jesus’ birth (on Earth) and that [we] should thank God for giving Him to [us].”

The Center’s outreach activity was supported by Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo; Eva Lariosa and family; Jun-jun Sy and TAO Corporation; and Alexander Cang-Uy.
