SUACONA donates funds for dorm repair

The Silliman University Alumni Council of North America (SUACONA), led by its chairperson, Jose Mari “Jojo” T. Antonio, generously contributed USD 23,263.96 for the major renovation of Sampaguita Cottage.

The donation was formally handed over during the alumni event, Lulinghayaw, held on August 28, 2024, at the Negros Oriental Convention Center.

On behalf of Silliman University, Alumni and External Affairs Director Ruben N. Bokingo received the check donation. Present during the donation turnover were SUACONA Vice Chair Estrella C. Mercurio and Trustee Evangeline Bravo-Manjares.

Sampaguita Cottage is a cooperative dormitory where students contribute to its upkeep and cleanliness through assigned tasks. It is currently in need of major repairs; thus, the university greatly appreciates SUACONA’s generous support in funding the renovation.
