The Silliman University (SU) College of Business Administration’s (CBA) members of the Business Analytics Student Society (BASS) attend the final presentation and awarding ceremony last November 16, 2024.

The proposal aimed to create a user-friendly web application to enhance public transport accessibility and was guided by their professors, Asst. Prof. Larry Vincent Regencia, Dr. Ofelia Ragpa, and Asst. Prof. Myla Sardan.

On October 11, the team was announced as one of the top 10 finalists out of 30 teams nationwide, earning a spot in the final presentation. The event, initially scheduled for October 26, was postponed to November 16 due to a typhoon.

During the hybrid presentation held at the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Quezon City, the Silliman team presented their project online via Zoom.

Their performance earned them a plaque, certificates, and publication of their project on the UP Data Science GitHub page. The team plans to continue developing their project into a fully functional mobile application to address urban transportation challenges.
