
High School Alumni Group Ink Scholarship MOA
Alumni Update February 10 – 16, 2025
A group of Silliman University (SU) High School alumni from the Class of 1975 has come together to give back to their alma mater through a scholarship initiative.
The Class ’75 Tuition Assistance Project was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on February 11, 2025, at the SU Boardroom Annex.
Leading the initiative were Outstanding Sillimanian Awardee (OSA) Moses L. Alcala, along with Dr. Ophelia Dimaculangan-Saad and Dr. Erwina Frances Bokingo-Jalandoni. Representing the university at the signing was SU President Dr. Betty Cernol-McCann, who signed the MOA in the presence of Alumni and External Affairs Director Ruben N. Bokingo and OIC for Strategic Partnership and Enterprise Development, Ms. Glynnis Jean C. Casiño.
The Class ’75 Tuition Assistance Project is financially supported by generous alumni benefactors, including Christina H. Chua, Dr. Laurie H. Raymundo, Ricardo M. Sandalo, Aleta B. English, Dr. Ophelia D. Saad, Lyna Labata-Mendoza, Erma S. Ansaldo, Dr. Erwina Frances B. Jalandoni, Dr. Sharon Arevalo-Capule, Janith Chan-Acosta, and Moses L. Alcala.
Through this initiative, the Class of 1975 hopes to provide financial aid to deserving students, continuing the legacy of academic excellence and service that Silliman University stands for.
The scholarship is open to incoming Grade 7 students enrolling in Silliman University Junior High School. It provides financial assistance to help cover tuition costs for four years.
