SU and Nursing class 2004 ink MOA for Student Research Incentive Fund

Silliman University (SU) and the SU Nursing Class 2004 inked a memorandum of agreement (MOA) establishing the Student Research Incentive Award for qualified and currently enrolled Nursing students, on May 2, 2024, at the SU Boardroom Annex.

The funding provides financial incentives to students who qualify as deserving recipients. According to the agreement, they must have “actively represented Silliman University through research presentation(s) and brought honor to the institution. This could include recognition received for exemplary research presentation and/or research paper, such as but not limited to Best Podium and/or Poster Presentation, Best Paper, etc. The research study should only be presented once at a local, national, or international research conference.”

Freslyn Lim-Saco, Noyme Lour Abegil Ligutom-Laviste, and Jethri Ken Carlo Catalan signed on behalf of SUCN Class 2004.

Meanwhile, Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, SU president, signed on behalf of the university, alongside witnesses Dr. Margaret Helen U. Alvarez, interim vice president for Academic Affairs and Research (VPAAR); Dr. Theresa A. Guino-o, SUCN dean; Ruben N. Bokingo, Office of Alumni and External Affairs director; and Glynnis Jean C. Casiño, Strategic Partnership and Enterprise Development officer-in-charge.
