
SU student bags 5 golds, 3 silvers; breaks records at Palarong Pambansa 2025
Silliman University student Naina Dominique D. Tagle delivered a stellar performance at the Palarong Pambansa 2025, winning five gold and three silver medals while setting two new records. The national sports meet was held in Ilocos Norte from May 24 to 31.
Tagle claimed gold in the 30m, 50m, and 60m distances, the overall QR/FITA round, and the team event. She also secured silver medals in the 70m distance, Olympic round, and mixed team event.
Her remarkable showing included breaking two records. According to a Rappler report, Tagle surpassed the secondary girls’ 30-meter record by scoring 343 points, one point higher than the 342 set by Irish Angel Licudan of Ilocos in 2024.
She also broke her own record in the secondary girls’ 1440 round, improving from her 2023 score of 1,278 points to an impressive 1,294 this year.
