SULAW holds 2nd Conferral Ceremony for Bachelor of Laws to Juris Doctor

The Silliman University College of Law held its 2nd Conferral Ceremony for the conversion of Bachelor of Laws to Juris Doctor (JD) on August 23, 2025, at the Audio-Visual Theater.

A total of 22 graduates were formally conferred with the JD degree.

The ceremony was graced by Associate Justice Jeoffre Willkom Acebido of the Court of Appeals – Mindanao Station, who also stood among the conferees.

In his keynote address on “Law with a Conscience,” Justice Acebido underscored the moral and ethical responsibility of lawyers to serve not only with knowledge and skill, but also with integrity and compassion.

Among those conferred with the JD degree were: Jeoffre W. Acebido, Myleen V. Bautista, Richard M. Catacutan, Sheila Lynn M. Catacutan-Besario, Kelly Eusebio P. Catalan, Michael Vernon R. de Gorio, Wivienne A. Diaz, Ma. Zusabel R. Digaum, Ethyl B. Eleccion-Vidal, Marites U. Flores-Macarubbo (cum laude), Gloria G. Futalan, Yasser B. Lumbos, Albie T. Marco, Vicente C. Maxino (cum laude), Mario Edgardo A. Montenegro, Lemuel V. Nacita, Johanna J. Parreño, Eduardo T. Sedillo, Rafael Crescencio C. Tan, Jr., Edric P. Torremocha, Gina C. Valencia, and Yuseff Yardley Cesar C. Ybañez, Jr.
