The Silliman University High School (SUHS) Class of 1973 turned over another round of communion sets to 34 churches in the North Negros District Conference, on September 10, 2025, at the Silliman University Chapel of Evangel.

Called the Pakig-ambit Project, it aims to provide much-needed sacramental vessels to places where such locally made, beautifully crafted items are seldom available.

The SUHS Class of 1973 initially turned over 88 sets of communion ware—each comprising a chalice, pitcher, and plate—to the Divinity School’s Elena Maquiso Center for Liturgy and Music, as part of their 52nd reunion project called Pakig-Ambit.

Designed and crafted by Lanelle Abueva Fernando in her studio in Antipolo, Rizal, these communion sets are expressions of her faith, meant to uplift worship in struggling rural churches across Negros Island, specifically those affiliated with the Negros District Conference, the Central Negros District Conference, and the North Negros District Conference.
