New York – New Jersey Alumni to commemorate Dr. Horace B. Silliman’s 200th birth anniversary

Alumni Update October 27 – November 2, 2025

The Silliman University Alumni Association of New York–New Jersey (SUAANYNJ) will commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of Dr. Horace Brinsmade Silliman on December 2, 2025.

The day’s activities will begin with a gravesite visit at the Albany Rural Cemetery from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by lunch at Smith’s Public House (171 Remsen St., Cohoes, NY).

A commemorative program will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Silliman Park, located at the corner of Ontario and Mohawk Streets, right across Cohoes City Hall.

Cohoes City Mayor William Keeler has been invited as guest speaker.
