Speaking on behalf of the retirees, Asst. Prof. Michaelito A. Naldo from the College of Agriculture expressed gratitude for the ceremony and reflected on the collective journey of the honorees.
Over the years, he said, they were shaped by the University’s culture of openness, humility, and community.
Naldo reminded his fellow retirees that retirement is not an ending but another beginning in their lifelong journey of learning and service.
He thanked Silliman University for giving them a home, a community for their families, and a mission greater than themselves. He also expressed gratitude to colleagues, administrators, staff, and students who walked with them throughout their years of service.
Addressing his fellow retirees, he said, “Today we honor not only the years we gave, but the lives we touched, the friendships we built, and the quiet, faithful work we offered day after day. We leave with full hearts, grateful for a journey that has changed us forever.”
