ZAMBASULTA Alumni Chapter welcomes SU Alumni Affairs Director and COPVA Faculty

Alumni Update November 24 – 30, 2025

Silliman University (SU) Alumni and External Affairs Director, Mr. Ruben N. Bokingo, met with the ZAMBASULTA (Zamboanga, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi) Alumni Chapter officers and members, last November 22, 2025 at the Southern City Colleges (SCC) Audio Visual Room in Zamboanga City. Mr. Bokingo gave alumni updates which included the fundraising project for a new Alumni Hall Building sphere headed by the Silliman Alumni Association, Inc. (SAAI). The SU College of Performing and Visual Arts (COPVA) faculty, headed by Dr. Elizabeth Susan V. Suarez, through the invitation of SCC President Dr. Edwin M. Caliolio, also had consultation meetings in preparation for a major cultural event and concert during Southern City Colleges 80th anniversary in October of 2026. Dr. Caliolio expressed his enthusiasm to showcase SU COPVA talents during SCC’s anniversary and also be a student recruitment activity for Silliman. Present during the alumni get together were: Dr. Eric V. Galo – chapter president, Cheryl Lynn B. Galo – secretary, Eli Aurea, Ana Maria P. Gomez, Atty. Dorothy S. Cajayon, among others.

ZAMBASULTA is gearing up to host next year’s SADYA MINDANAW, May 1 – 3, 2026 in Zamboanga City.
