
SUHS Class of 1979 turns over P100k for HS Covered Court Project

The Silliman University High School (SUHS) Class of 1979 turned over a ₱100,000 check in support of the High School Covered Court Project, reaffirming their enduring bond with Silliman University and their commitment to giving back to the institution that helped shape their formative years.
The contribution is intended to help advance the project, which aims to provide a safe and functional space for physical education, school activities, and community engagement for current and future SU High School students.
Representing the Class of 1979 during the turnover were Alex Rey V. Pal, class president; and Jun Dato. Engr. Debonaire T. Mamhot, Facilities Management and Administrative Services chief, was also present to support the batch’s project.
The check was received by Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, Silliman University president, at the President’s Office on January 8, 2026.
The alumni expressed hope that their support would contribute to the holistic development of students and stand as a testament to the lasting partnership between Silliman University and its alumni.
