SU TEVEC and Wrkpod formally ink MOA for Virtual Assistant training programs

Silliman University (SU), through its Technical Educational Vocational and Entrepreneurial Center (TEVEC), formally launched its partnership with Wrkpod Inc. during a ceremonial meeting held on January 15, 2025, at the SU Boardroom Annex, following the initial signing of the memorandum of agreement on January 13.

The collaboration was led by SU President Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research Dr. Lily Ann D. Bautista, TEVEC Head Blanchie M. Utzurrum, and Strategic Partnership and Enterprise Development Officer-in-Charge Glynnis Jean C. Casiño, alongside Wrkpod Inc. Executive Director James Thompson and Trainer Luchie Stemper. Industry partners Michael Mark M. Caluscusin of FAST-Inc. and Tiffany Antonette E. Zamora of TESDA witnessed the event.

Under the agreement, SU TEVEC will facilitate the identification and training of applicants interested in virtual assistant (VA) programs, utilizing its facilities to conduct skills development courses, particularly for Contact Center Services NC II learners.

Wrkpod Inc., in turn, will provide near-hire lists, conduct trainers’ alignment sessions to ensure consistency and industry readiness, ensure compliance with TESDA training regulations, and extend training support funds to qualified learners.

This partnership reinforces the university’s commitment to industry-aligned, employment-ready training, bridging education and workforce opportunities.
