Sillimanian Swimmers Excel at AOSI LC Swimming Championships Bangkok 2026

Sillimanian student-athletes turned in strong performances at the Asian Open Schools Invitational Long Course (AOSI LC) Swimming Championships Bangkok 2026, earning medals and commendable finishes in one of Asia’s premier international swimming competitions.

Grade 12 student Kacie Gabrielle M. Tionko emerged as one of the meet’s top performers, winning five gold medals and two silver medals in freestyle and medley events. Her consistent podium finishes earned her a Top 2 overall ranking in the Girls 18 years old and over category, placing her among the elite swimmers of the competition.

Alessandro Izacz G. Concepcion, a Grade 11 student, likewise reached the podium, earning two bronze medals in the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke events.

Other Sillimanians who competed and successfully finished their respective events included Kyle Wei Lin T. Ng (Grade 11), Astrid Deniz G. Abuhan (Grade 2), and Arin Godric M. Tionko (Grade 4), gaining valuable international exposure and competitive experience.

Held from January 29 to February 1, 2026 at the Assumption University Aquatic Center, Suvarnabhumi Campus, Bangkok, Thailand, the AOSI LC Swimming Championships is a premier international swimming competition that promotes friendship, sportsmanship, and cultural exchange among young athletes from various Asian nations.
