Three student-athletes from Silliman University secured spots in the Philippine National Youth Archery Team after strong performances in the 2026 PSC–WAP National Team and National Youth Team Selection Event held January 27 to February 1, 2026 at the STI Gold Toe Archery Center in Marikina City.

Meanwhile, Davayn Philip Mason, a Grade 9 student, secured Rank 4 in the Recurve Under-18 Men Category, earning a berth in the National Youth Team.
The national selection event, organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) in partnership with World Archery Philippines (WAP), gathered around 84 Filipino archers competing in recurve and compound divisions across different age groups, including Under-18, Under-21, and senior categories.
Serving as the official qualifying tournament for athletes aspiring to represent the country internationally, the competition determines members of the Philippine National Archery Team and National Youth Team for upcoming regional and global tournaments, including the SEA Games, Asian Games, and other World Archery events.
