Silliman Ranks Among EduRank’s Top 10 Universities in the Philippines

Silliman University (SU) has secured the 10th spot in EduRank’s latest ranking of the top 100 universities in the Philippines, affirming its continued academic and research presence both nationally and globally.

According to EduRank, the rankings are based on a combination of research performance, non-academic prominence, and alumni influence. The evaluation draws from an extensive dataset, including 944,000 citations from 84,700 academic publications produced by 229 Philippine universities, as well as the recognition of 1,341 notable alumni.

SU stands as the only university from the Negros Island Region in the top 10 and is one of only three institutions outside the National Capital Region to make the list. It shares this distinction with the University of the Philippines Los Baños (5th) and the University of San Carlos (8th).

Globally, SU is ranked 1,594th in Asia and 4,625th in the world.

EduRank.org is an independent, data-driven ranking platform that evaluates 14,131 universities across 183 countries using publicly available metrics.
