Silliman University was recognized with multiple honors during the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XVIII – Negros Island Region 2nd Regional Quality Awards held May 26, 2026 at STI West Negros University in Bacolod City.

The awards affirm the University’s continuing commitment to academic excellence, student development, internationalization, and innovation across various areas of higher education.

Silliman University received the following recognitions:

  • Outstanding Board Performance in the December 2025 Physical Therapists Licensure Examination
  • Outstanding Board Performance in the November 2025 Nurses Licensure Examination
  • Outstanding Board Performance in the November 2025 Pharmacists Licensure Examination
  • Outstanding Board Performance in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (Secondary Level)
  • Award for Excellence in National Service Training Program (NSTP)
  • Award for Excellence in Student Affairs and Services
  • World Rankings Recognition – World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI)
  • Award for Excellence in Internationalization

Receiving the awards on behalf of Silliman University were Dr. Lily Ann D. Bautista, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research; Dr. Edna Gladys T. Calingacion, Dean of Students; Dr. Theorose June Q. Bustillo, Dean of the College of Nursing; Dr. Alana Leilani C. Narciso, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; and Dr. Paolo Manuel G. Jimenez, Director of the Institute of Rehabilitative Sciences.

The recognition highlights the collective efforts of the University’s faculty, staff, students, and administrators in advancing quality instruction, professional preparation, student services, research innovation, and global engagement.

Organized by CHED Regional Office XVIII, the Regional Quality Awards recognize higher education institutions and partners in the Negros Island Region that have demonstrated exemplary performance and contributions to higher education development.
