SU produced 33 newly licensed mechanical engineers

Silliman University (SU) produced 33 newly licensed mechanical engineers in the August 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE), recording an overall passing rate of 62.26%.

Of SU’s 53 examinees, 33 passed the licensure examination. Among first-time takers, 24 of 31 passed, giving the University a 77.42% passing rate. Nine of 22 repeaters also passed.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,362 of 3,686 examinees, or 36.95%, passed the examination administered by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in various testing centers nationwide. The results were released on August 13, 2026, four working days after the last day of examinations.
