Established at Silliman University in 2025 with support from the Government of the Republic of Korea through KOICA, in partnership with Hannam University, the KOICA DX Center aims to equip unemployed youth and graduating students in Information Technology and Business Analytics with industry-relevant digital competencies.

Through intensive, face-to-face training programs lasting 20 to 30 days, participants develop practical knowledge and skills in emerging digital technologies at the fully equipped KOICA DX Laboratory in the SU College of Business Administration.

To sustain the initiative and broaden its impact, the Center has also extended its training programs to local instructors who intend to teach big data analytics and AI or incorporate these competencies into their courses. By developing local trainers, the initiative promotes the continued sharing of knowledge and skills within educational institutions.

The Center’s initiatives support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Through digital skills development and institutional collaboration, the Center promotes digital inclusion, workforce readiness, and broader access to emerging technologies.
