COPVA Offers Short Photography Course
The College of Performing and Visual Arts (COPVA), through its extension program, is offering a short course on photography starting this semester.
Students will learn the basics of photography and its technicalities, such as aperture, ISO and shutter speed, and how to mix and match these to create great pictures. They will also explore different types of photography, from event to food photography, and go on fieldwork to sharpen their skills.
Photography is the newest addition in the short courses that the COPVA extension is offering, along with Voice and Piano. Towards the end of the semester, students will have their photographs exhibited at the Foyer of the Luce Auditorium, while those taking Voice and Piano will have their recitals.
The short course will be taught by seasoned photographer Mr. Urich Calumpang, one of the pioneering members of the Silliman University Camera Club.
